Before I hopped onto Taxi to Las Flores, I bumped into Tom in El Tunco, what a coincidence! . I made friend with him in Puert Escondido in Mexico.
He is biking down Americas from North, California to all the way to the south, Argentine.
Taxi from El Tunco to Las Flores is $100, and about 3 hours.
This time we got total 6 people and 2 had to sit in the back of pickup truck.
Ricky and Nati joined us. They own surf shops in Brazil
Ricky is a shaper and real good surfer too.

途中はこんな光景
It’s been said one of the best break in El Salvador. Magic sea weed forecast looked good and Swell is supposed to be coming tomorrow.
Day one, we arrived there in the afternoon and decided to stay in hostel on the beach, then we surfed.
From Day 2, overhead to double overhead set rolled in consistently.
It was a beautiful break as this female japanese surfer blog tells.
Sand on rock bottom, 100+ meter ride, you can hit lips more than 4 times in one wave. It’s got good power and create barrel section when it jacks up to double overhead, yet still it is not that difficult take-off. Yes, It is like a dream wave, at least to me, it is.
Honestly, I can not think of any better wave than this.
But this wave seems really popular for short stay tourist surfers too, especially for americans, many of them are staying at nice resort hotel on the beach.

初日は午後についてビーチのホステルに宿を決めて Las Floresでそのままサーフ サイズは頭オーバーくらい、２日目以降は頭半からダブルくらいのセットがコンスタントに入るようになりました。
こちらのフィーフィーさんのブログにある通り素晴らしい極上リーフブレイク 岩の上に砂がついている感じ 100メートル以上乗れるし ４回以上あてにいけるし、パワーもあるしサイズがダブルくらいになるとバレルセクションが出てくるのにテイクオフはそんなに難しくないという まさにドリームウェーブ しかしながらそんなドリームウェーブを求めて大量のアメリカ人（短期旅行サーファー）がサーフリゾートホテルに大量に宿泊しています。
正直これより良いブレイクってまず無いと思う。まさに極上ライト。

Both Las Flores and Punta Mango were super-crowded. I went in at first light at 5AM but there were already 40-50 people in the water and many experts surfers.
おかげで Las Flores /Punta Mango どっちも激混みでした。朝４時３０分日の出前に起きて日の出（朝５時）と同時に入水してポイントブレイクに５０人以上 そして上級者多し……
We put a boat on this stand and push it to the water. We all got stoked.
Punta Mango was even worse as it is basically barrel wave.
Many shouting happens each time set comes in.
Both Las Flores and Punta Mango wave quality were best quality wave.
However, I was very disappointed about this crowded situation as I expected it to be somewhat secret surf break with fewer people.
Las Flores barrel was not hard to ride, Because Barrel size is not that big for the size of a whole wave itself so I was able to set myself to the pocket of the wave relatively easy.
It is hollow break but it does not require air drop nor super late take-off to set yourself to barrel.
And on Day 3, It was a barrel festival at Las Flores so I kept surfing there. I was not expecting it to create that many barrels so it was a good surprise.
I was able to make a real good barrel there that day.
Big set came in while I was paddling back to the peak, All the guys in the peak was out of position to catch this and I was at far left of those guys and the best position.
I took off from the peak and made a deep bottom turn, then wave automatically set myself to the deep pocket of the wave as there was no where to go but the deep pocket.
And, I run through barrel section super-fast and got spitted out as if I was on the skateboard rail.
When I was inside of the barrel, heard that people at inside cheering for me.
Luckily, right after that wave, I took another good set and ride 100+ meter, then got out of the water.
People on the beach were watching my those two waves riding and said
“KAMIKAZE BOY, YEAH!”
It was my honor. I was exhausted after 4 hours surf, I tried to surf again in the afternoon but I was too tired to do anything and got out of the water in 30 minutes.
It was bit short stay but I decided to go back to El Tunco as I was satisfied with that riding ,and I got tired of this busy surf and smelly jail-cell like hostel.
I am planning to go to K59 and then leaving for Nicaragua.

セットが入ると怒鳴り声が…..
これには本当にがっくりきました。両方とも最高の波でしたが貸切を予想していただけにゲンナリ 結局punta mangoは一回だけしか行きませんでした。
Las Floresのバレルはものすごく乗りやすいと思います、なぜなら波が大きいのにバレル部分が小さくセットしてしまえば綺麗に抜けれます。掘れていますが他の激ボレ ブレイクと違ってテイクオフ＆バレルセットもそこまで恐ろしく無いです。（だから皆ここに来るのかも） ただしパワーゾーンでワイプアウトした時は、かなり水中に長く押し込められて苦しかった。
そしてLas Floresでまさかのバレル祭りになったので、残りはラスフローレスでサーフィンしてました、そこで一本素晴らしいバレルを抜ける事ができた。
たまたまピークに戻っている最中にデカセットが入ってきてピークにいる人達はワイドすぎて全員のれずピークから離れたサイドにいた自分がベスポジからテイクオフ そしてボトムターン上がると同時にバレルにセット（正直自分で狙ったというより自動的にセットされた感覚＝他に行く所が無い）するとバレルの中でインサイドにいる人達の歓声が聞こえた。バレルに一旦セットされるとかっちり安定して ピューとバレルを抜け ライン上に人がいたのでワイプアウト 最高の気分
もう一本デカセットをラッキーなことにキャッチして100メートルかっとばしてロングライドして海から上がると一足先にあがってた人達から
「KAMIKAZE BOY! YEAH!!!」
の称号をいただきガッツポーズ ヘトヘトになって４時間サーフ終了。午後も波が良かったので無理矢理入水したけど 疲れすぎて何もできずすぐにあがった。
両方とも８時、９時になると少しすくのでその時間帯になってようやく波がとりやすくなりました。
予定より早かったけど、たまたま別のホテルにいた人達がエルツンコに戻るということだったので便乗してタクシーで帰る事に。もっといたかったし、マンゴーにももっと行きたかったけど宿泊施設の酷さと、混雑具合に疲れたので迷ったけど帰りました。K59というポイントに行ってからエルサルバドルを離れてニカラグアに行くか検討中

This surf resort located right next to our hostel and it is $350/night!!!!!
ビーチの隣にあったこちらのサーフリゾート Las Flores Surf Clubはなんと一泊$350
It includes 2 times boat trip to Punta Mango, breakfast,lunch, dinner, beer and massage. A guys staying there said 7nights for $1300 and he was very happy with this packages. May be good option for Japanese tourist surfers too.
There are many other resort hotel around the area, but during my time there, no vacancy.
And if you want to do it cheap, only option is a hostel I stayed in but it was terrible. $25/day with Fan, shower did not work well and sometimes rusty,muddy water kept coming out for 10 minutes.
Sometimes water completely stopped. So I gave up taking a shower sometimes.
They never do any cleanings at all. Yes, of course it smells like sewage. But it is close from surf break.
しかしながら一日２回までのプンタマンゴーまでのボートトリップ、朝、昼、夕方、食事 ビール、サーフィン後のマッサージまでついたいたれりつくせりのall inclusive hotelでした。wave hunterのウェブパッケージで申し込めば7nights で$1300らしい。アメリカ人は大満足だよと言ってました。日本人のサーフトリップにも向いていると思います。
これの他にもこのようなリゾートホテルがたくさんありますが軒並み満室でした。そして安くすませたい人は私が宿泊したオンボロホステルなんですが、これが$25/day ファンのみでかなり酷かった。茶色の水が１０分以上出たり、水がいきなり止まったり、勿論掃除なんて一切してない。正直おススメできないです。波があるので強気の価格設定。

$80/day but it does not include boat trip and meals. I made friends with some guys who were staying here and they said they are very satisfied with this hotel.
If you are comfortable to spend thousands of dollars for a week or two surf trip, please go ahead and book Las Flores Surf Club.
Next time, if I have a chance, I want to stay Las Flores for 2 weeks with decent accommodation.
他の宿泊施設に移動しようにも満室で来週後半になってようやく空きがあるという状況。波がオンシーズンなせいなのか、大人気。
丘の上にすぐあるこのホテル Atlak Amani Resortが値段的にも比較的にリーズナブルでおススメです $80- でボートトリップ食事は含まず。歩いてブレイクまで行くのにも他のホテルより近かったし、宿泊した人も満足してました。お金がある人は是非Las Flores SURF CLUBでマッサージ付きのレオンサーフを楽しんでください。笑
次来るときはホテルに泊まって２週間くらい滞在したい。
